Myers PowerBack™ Unveils PBM-ITS Series – A New Advanced UPS For Traffic Applications

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA, February 17, 2003 – Myers PowerBack™, a division of Myers Power Products, Inc., has unveiled its new PBM-ITS Series Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for traffic applications. As part of a complete battery backup system for traffic signal intersections, this unit provides greater features and versatility including advanced logging/programming capability, real-time status reporting, fully programmable dry contacts, and the ability to upgrade the power output in the field. According to Dave Rosen, Executive Vice President of Myers Power Products, "With this unit, traffic engineers will have more programming options and more incoming, real-time data whether they are in the field or working from a central office. The PBM-ITS Series truly sets a new benchmark for UPS in traffic applications." The PBM-ITS Series will operate traffic signals in either normal or "flash" mode for up to 24-hours, depending on the traffic signal load and configuration of batteries. Complete systems are available for installation into NEMA, 170/332, Myers MEUG, or custom designed cabinets. he Myers PowerBack UPS is currently in use in many cities throughout the United States.
