These positions are based at our Ontario, CA and North Canton, OH locations.


  • Work under the general guidance of the Wiring Production Supervisor and Wiring
  • Perform assembly operations and wiring functions to final completion or refurbishment
    on all circuit breakers, switchgear, cradles, and any related switchgear or breaker equipment
  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, blueprints,
    specifications, work orders, and reports in order to determine material requirements and
    assembly instructions
  • Adjust, repair, and replace electrical components/parts to correct defects and to ensure
    conformance of specifications
  • Prepare and install circuit breakers, security and fire protection systems, selective and
    control relays, station batteries and chargers, lighting fixtures, conduit systems,
    grounding systems, and various other electrical equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Carry out all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management

The Wireman is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years wiring experience preferred
  • Understanding of the methods and requirements for qualifying the metal-clad medium voltage
    switchgear class that includes draw out electrical components such as grounded metal barriers
  • Ability to read and comprehend point-to-point wiring diagrams, operation instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and complete routine reports
  • Capability of labeling, lugging, terminating, and running several gauges of wire with minimal errors
  • Ability to use/operate; portable power tools, ladders, and electrical testing equipment as required
  • Capability of performing simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions
  • Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement
  • Capability of applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Capacity to attain Myers Power Products, Inc. forklift and overhead crane certificate within (2) weeks of employment as required
