This position is based at our Ontario, CA location


Responsibilities

  • Remove scratches, de-burr edges, and clean sheet metal parts before paint
  • Read and understand production drawings
  • Hang parts on main or batch paint line
  • Remove painted parts from main or batch line and store on pallets with proper
    identification
  • Use batch wash to clean large parts/units
  • Report all re-work and labor hours required to complete re-work to supervisor
  • Follow standard shop practices and verbal instructions
  • Check work for accuracy and completeness
  • Refer all unusual conditions to supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Carry out all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management

The Paint Utility position is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years paint line experience preferred
  • Ability to use/operate main and batch paint line, orbital sanders, grinders, hand and portable power tools, forklifts, and pallet jacks as required
  • Capability of performing simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions
  • Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement
  • Capability of applying common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Capacity to attain Myers Power Products, Inc. forklift and overhead crane certificate within (2) weeks of employment as required
