This position is based at our Ontario, California location.


Responsibilities

  • Issue work orders and material transfer sheets.Issue work orders and material transfer sheets
  • Monitor and process requests regarding non-conforming product
  • Perform daily procedures for receiving, inspecting, filing, and releasing purchased items for production jobs
  • Issue items to appropriate locations/jobs in all manufacturing databases
  • Engage in daily communication and problem solving between engineering, purchasing, production, and accounting
  • File bills of material and other inventory-related documents
  • Perform inventory audits and cycle counts within stockroom
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the company Quality Management System by:
    • Taking accountability for the effectiveness of the quality management system
    • Ensuring that the quality policy and quality objectives are established for the quality management system and are compatible with the context and strategic direction of the organization
    • Promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking
    • Ensuring that the resources needed for the quality management system are available
    • Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements
    • Ensuring that the quality management system achieves its intended results
    • Engaging, directing, and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system
    • Promoting improvement
    • Supporting other relevant management roles to demonstrate their leadership as it applies to their areas of responsibility
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform all duties assigned by immediate supervisor and/or management.

The Receiving/Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for understanding and working towards company goals and objectives as well as actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years inventory control and/or receiving experience
  • Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations using whole numbers and fractions
  • Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement
  • Capacity to read and understand documents written in standard English
  • Capability of reading and interpreting documents, such as bills of materials and receiving documents
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and complete routine reports
  • Ability to operate; computer, general office equipment, hand and portable power tools, ladders, high-lift, forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane as required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Capacity to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagrammatic form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Capability to balance several tasks at once
  • Ability to acquire Myers Power Products, Inc. forklift and overhead crane certificate within (2) weeks of employment, as required
