Scott Strickland Named M&I Electric Manufacturing Manager

HOUSTON, TX, USA – Myers Power Products today announced the promotion of Scott Strickland to Manufacturing Manager for the Beaumont factory within its M&I Electric division. In this role, he will be responsible for all aspects of the manufacture of engineered-to-order power distribution equipment, including M&I Electric’s patented IntelliSafe arc-resistant switchgear.

Chris Boehm, Chief Operating Officer said, “Scott’s experience and expertise with the Beaumont plant will be invaluable as he takes on his new challenge to provide dedicated focus, continuous improvement, and support for all aspects of manufacturing.”

Mr. Strickland has more than two decades of experience in the energy industry, with a focus on power systems. During his 15+ years at M&I Electric, he’s held several engineering and production positions, including Mechanical and Electrical Designer, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Assurance Manager. He holds multiple industry certifications and graduated with honors from Lamar University, where he earned an Associate of Computer Drafting Technology degree.

Sabir Hussain Joins Myers Power Products as Manager – Mechanical Engineering

HOUSTON, TX, USA – Myers Power Products, Inc. (“Myers”) announced that Sabir Hussain has joined the company as Manager – Mechanical Engineering. In this role, he will manage the mechanical engineering personnel and processes associated with the design of Myers engineered-to-order power distribution solutions.   

Nader Masoud, Director – Engineering said, “I’m pleased to have Sabir join our team. His mechanical design experience across different power distribution products will be instrumental in the continued ability of Myers to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions that meet the unique requirements of each customer.”

Mr. Hussain brings nearly 15 years of experience in design engineering for medium voltage power distribution equipment, including conventional and arc resistant switchgear, variable frequency drives, and motor control. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
